There are minor scratches to the finish on the front and that is the extent of any damage at all which leads me to believe that this platter was never used. Extremely heavy weighs more than 2 lbs.
Has the signature design elements of late-Victorian utilitarian ironstone: Minimalist Aesthetic: Features a plain, undecorated glossy white glaze, letting its structural geometry stand alone without traditional molded floral reliefs or transferware patterns.
