The trees are heavily flowered and there are little birds to be found in the branches. There is also an abundance of green in the composition, primarily in the form of diminutive bamboo stalks gorgeously interspersed amid the blossoms and circling the base of the vases. A magnificent chunk of pale blue and green rockery near the base provides a visual counterweight to the profusion of delicate botanical forms that unfurl in the upper portions of each vase. Ca. late 19th/ early 20th century. Double underglaze blue ring marks to the underside of the base of each. Very good antique condition with typical artisanal irregularities and imperfections.
