Lovely Japanese painted 4-panel byobu (folding screen) by Yukiga. The title is "Ancient Plum Blossoms and Mandarin Ducks." Signed and sealed by the artist. Gouache, watercolor and ink on gold-leaf style paper. Silk brocade border. Lacquered black wood frame with beautifully engraved copper corners, plaques and medallions, showing some age patina. An original label and paper on back. Newly made eight black metal hooks for easy installation are included. Kyoto, Japan, Showa Era, 1970s. Very Good condition - no damage to the painting nor back, minimal age wear overall, some waving at the right edge of the third panel, strong hinges, clean, sturdy.
