the deep stoneware bowl is finished in a glorious raku glaze, a wash of turquoise and green that breaks into pearlescent gold and ecru, with a textured sgraffito rim. It’s glazed both inside and out, and the piece is signed to the base “cmc”.
the bowl alone measures 36cm in diameter and stands 23cm high; mounted on its sculptural wooden stand, the overall height rises to 53.5cm. Mcleod’s work features individual bowls and vessels in vibrant colours or lustrous earthy tones, alongside crystalline glazed slab dishes accented with geometric accents. This is a real statement piece, and by far one of her most impressive i’ve seen to date. The bowl is in lovely condition, with no cracks, and just one small nibble to the sgraffito, which i’ve shown in the last image.
