The design is built around a continuous bent beech frame with a suspended upholstered sling and adjustable headrest, resulting in a chair that is both visually light and surprisingly comfortable.

Each chair has been newly upholstered in Lana, a heavily textured Italian wool blend with soft olive-gray coloration from Luna Textiles. The fabric feels particularly appropriate here—it complements the organic shape of the frame without competing with it and gives the chairs a distinctly Scandinavian character.

While many bentwood lounge chairs from the period can feel bulky or overdesigned, these maintain a nice sense of restraint. The sweeping arms, subtle curves, and exposed wood structure are enough to give the chairs presence without relying on unnecessary ornamentation.

The bentwood frames have been cleaned, conditioned, and carefully preserved rather than stripped and refinished, retaining the character and age that make vintage Scandinavian furniture so appealing in the first place. Offered as pair. No maker’s mark present.
