This still life engraving is one of a very limited edition of 30. It is cheerful representation of a vase of flowers with pears. It is nicely framed and matted. The frame is wood.
Vicente Gandía (1935 – 2009) was a Mexican artist of Spanish origin who is best known for his poetic realism blending landscapes, still lifes, and abstract forms. He originally trained to be an architect but abandoned this in favor of art. By the mid 1970s, Gandía began to achieve international acclaim. Gandía participated in over 100 collective exhibitions in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Israel, Puerto Rico, Argentina and Europe. Gandía's work can be found in the collections of the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Santiago Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museu de la Diputacio in Barcelona, the Museo de Arte Moderno in Toluca, the Museo de Monterrey, among many others.
