This piece is in good overall condition as far as corrosion, cracks, and chips are concerned. It is a nice candidate for a refinishing project unless someone is looking for the well used look as there is wear in the form of fine scratches that covers a great deal of it. Top to bottom details: The top of the backsplash is very good, and it is lacking the chipping at the back that is often found. The horizontal face is also nice with no blemishes present. This sink has not been used in decades, thus the faucets have not been recently tested. The movement of the knobs feels correct, and the chrome is in good condition for the age. The horizontal surface where the faucets reside, and running around the basin has some light roughness at the back, fine scratches, and a couple tiny chips on the left side. The water overflow grate has corrosion around the slots and the rest of the back, sides, and front of the basin looks relatively good. Nearer the bottom there is some discoloration, wear, and a few very small dings. The outside of the sink is nearly blemish free and has a glossy finish. There is a little wear on the front, left and a chip at the right rear corner, and the rest is very good. The underside retains the paint that was there when we acquired this piece, and it was removed from along the edge as that is where the most rust is normally found. There is a little in spots, but on the whole the underside is very good. The included original cast iron Standard Works bracket is more substantial than the (many) others we have dealt with. The surface rust was removed, and it was given a couple coats of clear enamel to preserve it in the state it's in. If we were to sell it alone, it would be in the $150 price range.
