This lovely classic vintage green glazed Majolica cabbage platter is made in Portugal by Bordallo Pinheiro. The size is 12 inches wide, and 12 inches deep, and 1 inch tall. It is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks.
Artist, Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro, is associated with artistic ceramics. In 1884 Bordallo began his ceramics production at the Fábrica de Faianças in Caldas, revealing pieces of great technical, artistic and creative quality. His remarkable work with ceramics was awarded with the gold medal in international exhibitions in Madrid, Antwerp, Paris and the United States.
