Bearing the original metal tag of Gill & Reigate, the respected English furniture maker and antique dealer, the generously upholstered rectangular seat is covered in a soft ivory fabric (some staining), providing a refined contrast to the richly carved walnut frame.
The bench is raised on six boldly turned and fluted legs with gilt highlights, joined by an elaborate stretcher base featuring scrolling brackets, carved finials, and shaped stretchers inspired by Tudor and Jacobean design.
