The elongated silhouette gives the piece a strong vertical presence, while the warm brown and tan striped glaze adds an organic, hand-worked quality.

The surface is decorated with horizontal bands in layered shades of caramel, taupe, ochre and brown. The glaze moves irregularly around the body, with soft transitions, drip-like edges and subtle tonal variation that give the vase depth and movement. Its narrow opening makes it best suited for display as a decorative vessel, or with a single dried branch, reed, or very minimal arrangement.
