These items are mid-century bohemian art glass pieces designed by Ladislav Paleček for the famous Škrdlovice glassworks in Czechoslovakia during the 1970s.

The large piece is a thick-walled, heavy cylindrical "Confetti" art glass candlestick holder. It features Paleček's signature design technique: clear glass infused with an icy layer of tiny frosted air bubbles (fused soda) and a central band wrapped in colorful, chaotic glass abstract cane fragments that look like confetti or pine needles.

The small Candlestick Holder / paperweight is a matching heavy glass utilizes the exact same metallurgical "confetti" glass pattern. See less
