A very fine early American Sheraton one-drawer stand in solid walnut, likely made in Lancaster or Chester County, Pennsylvania, circa 1820-1840. Found in an old farmhouse estate in Chester County. The piece features finely turned tapered legs, a dovetailed drawer with poplar secondary wood, and the original turned wooden knob pull.
The top displays a wonderful old surface, believed to be original, with decades of honest wear marks and staining that give it exceptional character and patina — the kind of surface that can't be faked. There are four old screws to the underside of the top securing it to the base from a period repair.
A lovely small-scale stand with strong regional attribution, ideal as a bedside table, occasional table, or accent piece where you want authentic early American form and colour.

Dimensions: 20"W x 16 1/4"D x 29"H

Condition: Old surface, likely original finish. Wear marks and staining to top from use, consistent with age and history. Old repair with four screws securing top to base. Structurally sound.
