Josef Sedmik's hand-blown crystal bowl is of exceptional weight (33 pounds = 15 kg) and quality. The exterior is delicately wheel-engraved with blowing branches, heart-shaped leaves and birds.
The massive scale is significant for solid studio crystal, which increases its desirability due to the technical difficulty of cooling and engraving such a thick block without fracturing it.
