Designed by legendary art director Frederick Hurten Rhead, it stands as the absolute pinnacle of Art Deco design within the collection.

Dimensions: It stands exactly 11 ¾ inches tall (commonly referred to as the 12-inch vase), measuring nearly 6 inches across the flared, scalloped top rim and 5 inches at the base.

Production Years: Manufactured for a brief period between late 1936 and mid-1942. Production ceased when the "Original Red" uranium-based glaze was withdrawn for WWII military efforts.

The Glaze: Covered in the original "Old Ivory" vellum glaze, which features a smooth, creamy, off-white hue characteristic of early Fiestaware.

Craftsmanship: Due to its towering height and intricate fluting, it had to be slip-cast using a complex four-part mold developed by top designers Berriford, Kraft, and Watkin.

Markings: Typically features an incised bottom stamp reading fiesta HLC Made in USA or fiesta HLC U.S.A. pressed into the mold, along with a completely unglazed "dry foot" base rim. See less
