Decorate a powder room, hallway, bedroom, or living room with this elegant antique faux bamboo wall mirror. Crafted in France circa 1920, the mirror features a warm walnut frame carved in the form of bamboo, with turned side posts, ringed bamboo-style detailing, pointed corner accents, and decorative finials at the top and base. The frame has a rich honey walnut finish with darker incised accents that highlight the faux bamboo design.
The rectangular mirror plate shows attractive age-related foxing and oxidation, giving the piece wonderful antique character and decorative charm. The back retains its original wood panel construction and has been fitted with a later hanging wire for wall display. The mirror could be used over a small chest, in an entryway, above a console, or as an accent mirror in a layered French country interior.
The mirror is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with minimal expected silvering loss to the glass.
