Crafted from walnut with a fine veneer that highlights the wood's beautiful natural grain, it stands out for its sober and balanced lines, typical of the Directoire style, a transitional period between Louis XVI and the Empire.
The front is embellished with a large drawer, complete with the original bronze locks and handles. The drawer interior is made of fir with an original period bottom.
The writing desk has been conservatively restored, preserving the patina and original characteristics of the wood. It is in excellent condition and ready to be placed in any setting.
Thanks to its compact size and elegant proportions, it fits easily into both classic and contemporary settings, making it ideal as a writing desk, study table, or refined console table.
