Crafted by Casa Moderna, Genova in Italy circa 1880, each cabinet reflects the bold architectural styling of the Renaissance Revival period. The cases are embellished with fluted corner pilasters, molded panel construction, and richly carved details throughout, all executed in warm walnut with a beautifully aged patina.
Each bed side table features a molded top above a carved frieze decorated with scrolling foliate motifs centered by an original rosette-form wooden pull. A single drawer opens above an open storage compartment fitted with an interior shelf, providing practical space for books, decorative objects, or night time necessities. The cabinets rest on carved bun feet over a molded base adorned with repeating leaf and shell motifs, adding depth and sculptural character to the design.
