Circa Late 19th Century - 1870s. … Read more This Really is a Great Looking Authentic Antique American Country Primitive Stoneware Storage Crock. Circa Late 19th Century - 1870s. With Side Handles - "Ears". It has a Classic American Salt Glaze Exterior. The Interior is Done in a Coffee Brown Color. The Front has a Beautifully Rendered Large Blue Hand Decorated Double Flower Design. It is Embossed with the Well Documented Up State New York Makers Name - J. FISHER LYONS N.Y. It has a Small Number 3 Included in the Blue Decoration Denoting it Large Three Gallon Storage Capacity. These Types of Crocks were Commonly Used to Store a Variety Food and Other Items. It is in Very Good Strong - Sound - Usable Condition - Wonderful Authentic Aged Patina - Displays Beautifully. Only Very Minor Imperfections Noted - Chip at top of Left Handle and a few and a Few Very Small Chips on the Inner Top Rim Perimeter. It has No Cracks & No Repairs or Restorations.
