A striking American studio pottery centerpiece bowl signed and dated "Miller, 1979." This substantial hand-thrown stoneware bowl features a warm iron-rich clay body with a beautifully layered ash-style glaze in earthy browns, ochres, charcoal, and soft blue-gray tones. The flowing interior glaze creates an abstract landscape effect, making it equally compelling as functional pottery or sculptural décor.
At 16 inches in diameter, the bowl has an impressive presence and works beautifully as a centerpiece, fruit bowl, decorative charger, or displayed on a wall.
The underside retains the artist's hand-signed signature and 1979 date, adding authenticity and documenting its place within the American studio pottery movement of the late 1970s.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition. Light surface wear and minor glaze irregularities consistent with age and the handmade firing process. No cracks or repairs.
