A magnificent, large vintage wooden offering bowl, Burma, circa mid-20th century.
It was repainted at some point; in places, the paint has faded to reveal the underlying gold leaf. It is elaborately decorated with scrolls, patterns, and pieces of colored glass. The interior is finished in red lacquer, and the top section—which is fully intact—is removable. An impressive, large-scale object and a true collector's item!
In good vintage condition; some pieces of glass are missing, and there are minor signs of age and use where the underlying wood is visible—please check the photos for details.
