Yaacov Agam (b. 1928) is an Israeli artist internationally recognized as a pioneer of kinetic and optical art. Emerging as a leading figure of postwar abstraction, Agam transformed static imagery into dynamic works that change according to the viewer's movement and perspective. His work has been exhibited at major institutions worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
