This is a vintage pagoda rattan lounge chair in the style of Ficks Reed. The organic modern style chair has a natural rattan frame and detached cushions covered in woven tapestry like fabric (Belarus chenille by Barrow Fabrics). The chair is unsigned but likely made in the 1960s in the United States.
The mid-20th century chair is in very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age. The frame is sturdy and strong with tight springs in the seat. The finish is a bit uneven with visible drips. Could be sanded and refinished if desired but ready to use as is. The upholstery fabric is in good condition with mild fading and a few loose threads. Note that the upholstery is fashioned into a kind of pillow case with one open end. Please see photos for more details about the condition of the chair.
The lounge chair measures 30.5" tall, 25" wide, and 35" deep with a seat height of 17 inches and an arm height of 21.75 inches.
