A truly monumental vintage tropical oil on canvas depicting two brilliantly colored macaws nestled among lush botanical foliage. Measuring an impressive 62 inches wide, this striking composition creates an immediate statement whether displayed in a living room, entryway, sunroom, or coastal retreat.
Executed in the style of the renowned Lee Reynolds Vanguard Studios, this piece is signed and dated “Nichols ‘85,” suggesting it was completed by an individual studio artist while closely following one of the studio’s celebrated tropical compositions. Rich layers of vibrant greens, soft atmospheric blues, and brilliant reds create remarkable depth, while charming details—including a delicate butterfly and tiny ladybug—reward a closer look.
Presented in its original gilt wood frame, the painting embodies the relaxed elegance of Old Florida, Palm Beach, and British Colonial interiors while remaining versatile enough for contemporary coastal homes.
A spectacular oversized work that serves as both artwork and conversation piece.
