It belongs to the kind of daily use items like storing food or pickling vegetables in ordinary people's home, such as pickled vegetable jars or rice jars, etc. It was made by local private kilns in northern China during the late Qing Dynasty to early Republic period. This beautiful jar is overall in good vintage/antique condition except two hairline cracks on the rim due to the long time usage.
