Rare variation of the 1950s Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard-Nielsen Portex armchair manufactured by Porter, Denmark.
Striking sculptural frame carved from solid beech. Formed beech ply lacquered backrest in a beautiful and original petrol blue. Saddle brown leather upholstery with a nice patina on the seat with brass spacers between the frame and seat pad. Painted black caps at bottom of each leg.
In really nice recently restored condition - Only retains very few and very slight signs of age but overall presents very well. Chair is structurally sound and sturdy.
Manufacturer paper label no longer present.
