The brass has been meticulously polished from the center outward, creating a fascinating play of light and subtle reflections that beautifully emphasize the craftsmanship of this piece. The central column is wrapped in high-quality brown leather, providing a sophisticated contrast to the warm brass elements and giving the lamp a timeless, elegant appearance. The original parchment-style lampshade has been preserved and remains in very good vintage condition. It displays only one very small age-related mark, documented in the photographs, which is virtually unnoticeable during normal use. The lamp is crowned by a finely finished brass top plate featuring the same attractive radial swirl finish as the base, together with an elegant brass ring finial.
