Stoneware with turquoise glaze and inlaid silver details. Decorated with vertical fluted panels and small silver-inlaid flowers along the sides and a scalloped rim. A fine early Argenta piece showing clear Art Deco influence. Light lime residue in the interior. Origin: Sweden, Gustavsberg. Material: Stoneware with silver inlay. Dimensions: H. 8 cm, D. 16 cm. Period: 1930s. Condition: Very good condition with minor signs of use and light lime deposits to the interior. Hallmarked. Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) served as head designer at Gustavsberg from 1917 and was a major figure in Swedish ceramic modernism. His Argenta series, introduced in the 1930s, combines cool glazes with refined silver inlays and is regarded as a masterpiece of Scandinavian Art Deco. See less
