The decoration is executed in the traditional Famille Rose palette (known in Chinese as fencai), a style characterized by soft, opaque overglaze enamels.
The central figure on the front represents a classical Chinese court lady holding a fan. She stands before oversized dark green lotus leaves and vibrant pink and yellow lotus flowers, symbols often associated with purity and summertime.
On the back of the vase featuring black calligraphy text and a red stamp mark on its body.
