An important source of inspiration was his passion for the folk art of South America, Asia and Eastern Europe. The decorative wooden dolls, designed and crafted by Girard himself for his own home in Santa Fe, are also inspired by his extensive private collection of folk art. Girard made these wooden dolls, partly intended for decoration and partly intended as toys, initially for his own use, but were later put into production, so that our interior can also be brightened up with these special home accessories. The Wooden Dolls are made of solid pine wood and are painted by hand. This makes every Doll unique. A Wooden Doll is delivered in a beautifully pre-printed wooden box.
