The Welch Peach and … Read more Amazing set of 3 lithographs from the early 1900's from the U.S. Department of Agriculture yearbook. The Welch Peach and the Hiley Peach from 1903 were drawn by Deborah Griscom Passmore, who was considered one of the best early USDA artists. The York Imperial Apple from 1903 was drawn by Bertha Heiges, a skilled USDA illustrator whose botanical art was instrumental in documenting and promoting American agriculture, leaving an enduring mark on both scientific illustration and agricultural history. All 3 prints are beautifully framed under glass in gold gilt, Victoria French style embossed frames and double matted. I love the colors of these life-like lithographs and the beautiful frames.
