Original hand-colored lithograph from the octavo edition of The Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America. Drawn from nature by John James Audubon, printed and hand-colored by J.T. Bowen, and published in Philadelphia, 1842.
This beautifully detailed natural history print depicts a pair of Cinnamon Bears in their woodland habitat and is one of the celebrated plates from Audubon's landmark work on North American mammals.
Very good condition.
