This … Read more A large-sized Italian embossed and painted leather room divider, with nail head trim accents, from the mid 20th century. This mid-century accordion style folding screen from Italy features 4 connected panel sections, whose front sides are adorned in embossed leather with original hand-painted ornately decorated foliage motif and nail head accent trim. The back-sides of these panels are un-adorn but do show the reverse of the leather with embossing carrying through to their backsides. The leather painted finish gives off a warm and romantic presence. Please note that there are some prior repairs and signs of wear; which we feel adds more of a patina and character to the piece. It is a nicely-sized room divider at just over 9.5 feet in width, by just shy of 7 feet in height. Each vertical panel section is approximately 29 inches in width. This mid century Italian embossed and painted leather screen would be a beautiful room divider, dressing screen, or perhaps used to add visual interest and fill a corner space within a larger room.
