We present this stunning vintage postmodern silver-plated "Skyscraper" bowl, produced by Swid Powell and designed by the world-renowned American architect Richard Meier. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s Swid Powell partnered with leading architects to create high-end, artistic tableware. The bowl features a minimalist, highly polished hemispherical body on a low circular foot. Its signature features are the vertical, rectangular cutout geometric windows near the top rim, mimicking modernist skyscraper windows. Expertly crafted of silver-plated brass. Manufactured in Italy, stamped on the bottom.
A versatile piece that can be used as a nut bowl, a vide poche for your everyday carry, or simply as a sculptural element unto itself.
