About The Poster: The SNCF (Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français), France’s national state-owned railway company, was founded in 1938. From its inception, it relied on advertising posters to promote the wide range of destinations accessible through its rail network. To enhance the appeal of these campaigns, the company commissioned leading French artists to create striking and memorable poster designs.
