The drawer fronts have beautiful book matched flame mahogany veneered fronts as well as the writing surface and prospect door. Nice bellflower inlay on the legs and a lovely classical inspired urn inlaid on the door. As you can see in the photos there are 2 drawers below the writing surface and one above the cubby holes. Desk was made probably in the 1940's by a quality company. Desk retains its original finish and original felt on the writing surface. There is wear to the felt and a couple of spots on the felt. I have the key that works in the 2 lower drawers. I do not have the key for the door. Desk is in nice original condition with minor finish wear and scratches consistent with use and age. Desk stands 46" tall and is only 36" wide and 17 1/2" deep. The writing height is 30" which is the standard height. See less
