Africa - The Fire is an original artwork realized by Emmanuel Gondouin (Versailles, 1883 - Parigi, 1934) in 1930s. Original lithograph, part of a collection entitled "Africa". The work is glued to a cardboard. Good condition. Emmanuel Gondouin is a French cubist painter born in Versailles in 1883 and died in Paris in 1934. Considered a cursed painter, he lived in misery. He lives in the districts of Montmartre then Montparnasse in Paris, survives thanks to industrial design and becomes Modigliani’s friend. Gondouin has taken part in exhibitions abroad, notably in New York and Chicago. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
