A beautifully crafted Nichols & Stone Windsor rocking chair, made in Gardner, Massachusetts, featuring its original black finish with hand-painted fruit stencil decoration and traditional gold banding on the turned legs.
Known for producing some of America's finest Windsor furniture, Nichols & Stone has been celebrated for its exceptional craftsmanship since the 19th century. This rocker showcases the company's classic design with a graceful high spindle back, sculpted saddle seat, and decorative stencil work that gives it wonderful New England character.
The chair retains its original finish and has developed the honest wear expected from decades of use. The floral stencil accents on the crest rail and arms remain beautifully visible, and the chair rocks smoothly and feels sturdy.
