Exude classic mid-century sophistication with this striking Alfred Christensen Lounge Chair, crafted for the esteemed Danish workshop Slagelse Møbelværk. This piece beautifully exemplifies the peak of mid-century Scandinavian design, blending sculptural elegance with organic warmth.
The chair features meticulously hand-carved, fluidly arched beech wood arms and outward-splayed tapered legs that give the substantial silhouette a graceful, floating lightness. It has been luxuriously updated and newly reupholstered in a premium, deep Schumacher Regal Blue mohair fabric, providing an exquisite textural contrast against the rich tones of the vintage beech frame.
Timeless, functional, and deeply rooted in the Danish cabinetmaker tradition, this statement armchair brings an elevated pop of color and historic craftsmanship to any modern or contemporary space.
