Directoire walnut bedside table, dating back to the early 19th century, from Italy. It features a drawer located under the top and a central door, both embellished with a bronze knob and handle, adding a decorative and functional touch. The truncated pyramidal legs lend stability and a distinctive character typical of the Directoire period. The interior is made of fir, a lightweight and durable wood, commonly used to ensure sturdiness without weighing down the overall structure. Modifications have been made over time, which may include restoration or adaptations for use, while maintaining the object's historical integrity. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
