This crane has a branch in it’s mouth intended to hold a stick of incense or a joss stick, influenced by the Chinese bronzes. We believe this to be an American casting in the Chinoiserie/Aesthetic style made around the turn of the century most likely as a pair of garniture pieces for a mantle.

Condition: Antique condition. Some surface wear and patination. One of the feet has a bent toe.
