Authentic, excellent condition, vintage, and iconic "Basilico Compote 141" designed by legendary Memphis Group founder Ettore Sottsass for MaruTomi (Japan) in 1997.
Ettore Sottsass was the founder of the Milan-based Memphis group in the 1980's during which period his style evolved from Modernism to Postmodernism.
Color Palette: Indigo Blue & Cedar Green - one of the most sought after colorways from the 1997 MaruTomi collection.
Material: Phenolic resin with a smooth polyurethane finish
This postmodern piece features Sottsass’s signature playful geometric silhouette, rendered in high-quality phenolic resin with a smooth polyurethane finish.
