Oval serving platter in blue-and-white "Terre de Fer" (French ironstone), made by the Faïencerie de Salins in Salins-les-Bains, Jura, under the Rigal & Ameline (R&A) management, circa 1885–1910.
The "Versailles" pattern has a transferware border of floral garlands and ribbon-tied banding, with an oval crest cartouche at one end. The reverse is marked "Versailles / R&A / Terre de Fer / Salins / Déposé."
One chip on the side and one raised adhered piece from a different dish. See pictures.
Purchased at the antique market in Arles, France.
