A rare 1960's lounge chair by Shield Chair Company of California designed by founder John K. Fossum.
Fossum was the son of Norwegian immigrants and his designs were heavily influenced by his Scandinavian roots. You can see the influence of Ib Kofod-Larsen in the striking stance of this chair combined with the Califorina modern cane back.
He passed at a young age and production of his work stopped after his death so his designs are a rare treat to come across and a special addition to any home.
