Pair of Louis XV style side chairs featuring hand-carved floral crests, graceful cabriole legs, and upholstered backs and seats. The warm walnut frames display elegant French-inspired proportions suitable for dining, bedroom, or occasional seating. These chairs seem to have been originally hand carved as there are variations in each though they are the same style. This is typical of hand carved items, each is unique. It is possible these chairs were imported from France in the late 1800s/early 1900s.
These chairs have been refurbished as seen in pictures and the blue upholstery is somewhat dated. Also, there is a large stain on the back of one chair as shown in pictures.
