A delicate porcelain figurine depicting a ballerina in a dancing pose, crafted with exceptional attention to detail.
The eye is drawn to the richly decorated dress, finished with delicate, openwork lace in shades of powder pink and hand-painted floral motifs. Porcelain lace is created by soaking real fabric in liquid porcelain, which burns away during firing, leaving an intricate ceramic structure resembling lace.
The figurine was crafted at the renowned German manufacturer Volkstedt, one of the oldest porcelain manufacturers in Europe, prized for its handcrafted production and the exceptional precision of its decorations. Its slender silhouette and elegant form lend the piece a unique, collector’s-quality character.
