Across the front, the words comptoir des voyageurs ("traveller's counter") are emblazoned on the woven basket, as though it once served champagne somewhere above the loire valley, drifting gently between château rooftops and lavender fields.

the reverse reveals a very practical interior, fitted with shelves, drawers and bottle holders, ready to house everything from treasured vintages to emergency martini supplies.
