We are selling this great early Pre-Columbian pottery vessel. This vessel has squat squash form with red pottery body and gently lobed, almost basketweave, style exterior wall. The pottery surface has great patina and wear with significant age. The pot is probably Western Mexico in Origin, 500-0 BCE, and Colima adjacent, similar but not a common form.
Condition: Excavated condition. Great surface patina with light wear and some small chips to the mouth.
