These richly modelled and hand-painted hard-paste porcelain vases display the designer’s unmistakable flair for dramatic scrolling forms, lavish gilding, shell motifs and highly decorative hand-painted panels. The pair retains its original individuality, with each vase featuring slightly different hand-painted details and gilding, reflecting the artisanal production methods of the period.

Produced in the Jacob Petit tradition at Fontainebleau, these elegant vases are decorated with finely painted floral bouquets to one side and armorial-style trophy scenes to the reverse, incorporating musical and agricultural motifs. The moulded rococo feet, pierced scrollwork and heavily gilded relief decoration create a striking display from every angle.
