Carved bullseye corner blocks provide a distinctive architectural detail, framing the generously padded top. The leather – in a warm cognac-brown – is deeply embossed with repeating palmette motifs, and the top is finished with brass nailhead trim. The leather displays an honest patina developed over many decades, with natural craquelure and subtle color variation that enhance its character.
The hardwood frame is supported by four ring-turned legs that taper to gently flared feet. An X-form stretcher with a turned central block provides stability.
