The cabinet is veneered in beautifully figured flame mahogany with striking bookmatched doors displaying dramatic feathered grain throughout. The shaped cresting, carved mouldings and richly carved cabriole legs are complemented by ornate brass hinges and an impressive decorative brass escutcheon.
Opening to reveal a fully fitted illuminated interior with mirrored back, glass shelves and original cocktail fittings to the doors. Designed for the elegant storage and display of fine wines, spirits, decanters and glassware, cabinets such as this became highly fashionable during the early 20th century when home entertaining was at its height.
The cabinet stands on elegant carved cabriole legs united by a finely carved apron featuring bold scrolling acanthus decoration. The pair of drawers below provide useful additional storage and retain their attractive original brass handles.
An outstanding decorative and practical piece that would make a wonderful focal point in a dining room, drawing room, library or gentleman's study. The rich figured mahogany and illuminated interior create a striking display both day and night.

Presented in good antique condition with age related wear, light marks and minor imperfections consistent with age and use. The interior lighting is currently operational. A beautiful rich colour and patina throughout.
